Faces of the sacred in Benin

📅 Dates: February 26 to March 3, 2027.
👥 Participants : Maximum 10 people.

From the lakeside shores of Ganvié to the lands of northern Benin , this tour offers a gradual immersion into the many expressions of the sacred in Benin . Through Vodun convents , traditional ceremonies , masks , places of worship , and ancient royal cities , the journey reveals a spirituality deeply connected to daily life , the memory of ancestors , and the balance between humankind, nature, and the unseen.

Designed for photographers, videographers , and content creators seeking sensitive and well-researched narratives, this journey prioritizes time for observation , encounters , and understanding of cultural contexts. Thanks to its on-the-ground expertise and connections with local communities, Vodoun Travel facilitates respectful access to scenes and spaces rarely captured accurately by outsiders .

This journey highlights the diverse faces of Benin’s spiritual heritage: rites, music, symbols, sacred architecture, costumes, masks and ancestral transmissions.
